Always Chapter 8 – Part 3; by Lily G. Blunt:

I could feel myself starting to doze when Edward’s phone burst into life. He scrambled out of bed and scooped up his jeans in an attempt to get to it quickly. I could have bet that it was Ellis interrupting us again, but surprisingly it was Edward’s mother.

Edward mouthed ‘sorry’ as he pulled on his jeans and sat down on the bed with his back resting against the headboard, obviously settling in for a long conversation. I draped myself across his lap, leisurely tracing his sprinkling of star tattoos as he spoke. I thought about making myself scare just in case he wanted some private time with her, but he wrapped his free hand around my waist and pulled me closer to his body, telling me I didn’t need to move. I tried not to listen to what they were saying but it wasn’t easy. I focused on the timbre of his voice and his mannerisms. He was the same with her as he was with everyone else—natural and so beautiful.

If You Love Something – Chapter 10; Time Heals All Wounds?: by Lily Velden

Past (Begins at Christmas, with David aged 19.5 years of age)

Looking at the spread laid out before me, I shook my head—there was enough to feed an army. We’d be eating the turkey and roast vegetables for days. Mum always went the whole nine yards with Christmas even though it was usually just the two of us. I never said anything because it would just hurt her feelings, and I knew she did it for me. Sighing inwardly, I turned away from the table and headed back to the kitchen to help bring the rest of the food out. Even if I’d actually had an appetite it was so freakin’ hot that it seemed ridiculous to be sitting down to a roast dinner.

Sleeping Arrangements – Part 3 (A Naruto Fanfiction); by Sara Testarossa:

Haku awoke to find himself enveloped in warmth. This was nothing new, as he and Zabuza had slept together for years. There were several key differences this morning, though. For one, Haku wasn’t wearing the pants that he usually slept in. More importantly, this was the morning after the first time that he and Zabuza had been intimate. Haku smiled at the memory and snuggled closer into Zabuza’s chest. He felt a hand stroking his hair and realized that his lover was awake.
“Good morning,” Haku murmured, and leaned up to kiss Zabuza on the cheek.

Growth, Part 10 – Confusion, Part 6; by Grace R. Duncan:

Adel’s cock twitched at the thought. Obviously the idea appealed to something inside him. “I see. So I control his pleasure completely?”

Bathasar nodded. “Yes. You decide when he is released from his cage—if you wish to release him. There are times I do not allow Teman out. When he is in denial, I often take him without releasing him, which causes its own frustration. One he likes,” he added and Adel realized he must have looked disbelieving at that.

“And this lasts a while?”

“Days,” Teman said and Adel wondered at the tone of his voice. “The longest I have gone, thus far, is three weeks. It was the most frustrating… and most intense experience I’ve ever had.”

Turning Point: Battle Plans – Part 2; by Hope Ryan:

“Welcome back, Andy,” Mr. D greeted me before I even stepped into the office. His back was turned but I guessed he wasn’t expecting anyone else.

“Thanks,” I said, hovering by the door.

“Do you want to get some coffee or something before we start?”

I was still nervous enough that I wasn’t sure my stomach could handle anything more on it. I shook my head. “No, thank you.”

Mr. D nodded as if he’d expected it. “Have a seat and give me a minute to excavate my desk surface.”

I stepped into the room that was going to be mine to see Will on his bunk, reading. On closer inspection, I saw it was a copy of Carrie from Stephen King.

The Marine – Moving; R. Gebhardt:

I couldn’t believe how easily I opened up to those women the other day; it was so not like me, but it felt good getting it off my chest and not looked at like I was crazy. I knew that Chase would never treat me that way and that he would have my back if it came down to it, the same with the rest of the guys.

I received a call from Mr. Danielson and he told me that Tina had a doctor’s appointment and where the doctor’s office was located. I sat in the waiting room for Tina to show up. I knew that she wouldn’t want me in on the exam but I was going to be there for the discussion whether she liked it or not. I had made sure that the receptionist let the doctor know that I wanted to be there for the discussion; I could do without seeing any part of her body. I also gave them a copy of the legal papers that Tina had signed showing that I would have full custody once the baby was born.
